Missed the Deadline?
No need to worry. The Westport Youth Film Festival has other festivals to which you can submit your films and other opportunities for budding filmmakers.
The Extras Casting Director for Wes Craven's new movie, "25-8" which will be shooting in Tolland and New Milford starting April 14, needs to hire 85 SAG extras and the rest non-union. She is looking for people of all ages and especially teenagers since the movie is about 4 teens in high school.
The Open Call takes place at FTC on Saturday April 5 from 10 AM to 4 PM. Bring your photo and resumes and if you don't have one or know somebody who needs one, Suzanne Sheridan can give you a grat industry-appropriate headshot by April 14 - just call her at 222-1441.
FTC is located next to the Fairfield Metro North train station at 70 Sanford Street in Fairfield. If you are driving, park on the north side (NY bound) side of the train station.
This festival is called Open St. Petersburg Student Film Festival "Beginning". This year will be the seventh time when the festival open their doors to many Russian and foreign participants. They are very much interested in international professional contacts and in creative exchange among film schools. They should be obliged if any of your festival submitters would get in touch with them and submit their films to this festival. The CineYouth Festival (formerly known as the Future Filmmakers Festival) announces it’s nationwide extended call for entries deadline for the 2008 Festival. Currently, the Festival is seeking submissions for films and videos of any genre from filmmakers who are 20 years old or younger.
